How do you keep going?
I'm having trouble staying motivated. I have no more than 20 pounds to lose, yet I just feel so impatient and give up. The in the moment feeling of eating almost feels worth it...even though I know feeling and looking fit will feel better in the long run...and being able to wear a bikini for the first time in my life or enjoy going shopping again. And you can tell me to do it for my health, but most likely that won't work. I eat quite healthy, read food labels; no health problems; work out 4-5 times per week and am pretty fit compared to the average person. It's just...it's just...the eating part...and yes, I am an emotional eater and like big helpings so that's part of why I just can't give food up easily...but a lot of it is because I'm impatient. I've wanted to lose weight for awhile yet just keep putting it off, saying I'll committ tomorrow, but it doesn't happen for the long term (longer than 2 months). And then the days, weeks, months, years go by so fast....each fall/winter I tell myself I'll lose the weight once and for all by spring/summer time...and now look, it's March already! How have you guys combatted this problem (mostly the impatience/staying motivated)?
