cardio at home -- getting back into exercising

I am trying to get back into exercising after six months of being a couch potato. Unfortunately, the only time I can exercise is after work, in my home, and with my two kids (4 and 7) present.
I have no exercise equipment. I think strength training will be easier, but the only thing I can think to do for cardio is exercise videos. But I have two left feet, it seems. I tried to exercise for the first time today. I lasted 15 minutes. I can't follow the moves, feel like an idiot getting it wrong even after 10 repetitions, the kids running around me, trying to join in, but only taking up valuable space I need for the moves, talking to me constantly leading to further confusion. Arghh..
When I used to exercise before, I did speed walking, or the stationary bike and I enjoyed both those things. But this year my husband is away and I know nobody in this town and can't afford or have time or a babysitter for a gym.
I am so upset right now. Feeling defeated.Trying to exercise also reminded me how out of shape I am and how much work it will take me to get back in shape.
I need some ideas and encouragement. I have to make this happen. How will I do it??
