Before:
this was me in college, maybe 220
After:
6/15/08-Number from my First 5K Run

My Goal:
My ideal weight is 140. I've never seen myself as a 140, well, maybe I have. I think was 10. So basically, I know nothing other than chub. I want to change this.

I started with peertrainer in January of 2008 and with the help of a Biggest Loser contest at work, I was able to lose 37lbs. I've been teetering on 180 since then and I want to continue my weightloss journey in a much more productive manner.

Music City Half Marathon-April 25, 2009-2:56 (yes, I'm slow, but I did it!)
Murfreesboro Half Marathon-October 3, 2009-2.30.29 way better.

About me:
I'm an accountant working on my CPA. I have two dogs: Bear, an Australian Shepard and Molly, a Great Dane. I also have a parrot named Sparky. I love the band Pearl Jam and am a big fan of Henry Rollins. I'm very slowly working on the 100 greatest books of the 20th century and discovered a home in John Steinbeck. I'm currently training for my first 1/2 marathon. The Country Music Marathon in Nashville, TN April 25th. A year ago I could barely run a mile and now I'm going to try for 13.1. phew. That number starts to scare me every time I think about it. :)

Diets I like:
I don't really diet. I tried Weight Watchers. I didn't like it. I would rather be able to calculate my own numbers rather than relying on a website to throw back a number at me. I'm currently counting calories and exercising. I'm trying for a 1500 calorie a day diet. And may modify that according to my weight loss or lack of.

Workout of choice:
running. Walking the dogs. A wee bit of yoga.

My plan:
To run and then run some more. Run so much my face turns red, I'm dripping sweat and wondering why the hell I got on that treadmill in the first place. 13.1 miles. Here I come. Update: I finished the 1/2 marathon!!! It was hard and hotter that day than expected but I came in at 2:56., which is about a 13 minute mile average (I did walk some)

I need the most help with:
I eat when I'm empty. Food has been the only reliable form of comfort that I know. It's also what's brought me down so many times. I need to re-establish my relationship with food. Wow, that was so easy to say. . . I wish it was that easy to do.

Additional Info:
I turned 30 in December. I dreaded that day but it's gone and past and I've moved on. 30's are the new 20's, right? Except with more disposable income. I can dig it.
