My Goal:
Lose 54 pounds. I started at 234 pounds on April 3rd, 2011. I want to get to 180 pounds.


About me:
I am a 60 year old man, married, working full time, 2 grown children, 2 grandchildren. I have been both fit and fat off and on all my life. I have had diabetes for 12 years and recently it has been getting out of control resulting in high creatinine level (kidney function) which told me it is time to lose 50+ lbs.


Diets I like:
Since reading Eat to Live by Dr. Fuhrman, I have learned to like lots of vegetables and fruits.


Workout of choice:
Weight training and tread mill.


My plan:
Using Dr. Fuhrmans Eat to Live, working out with weights 3 days a week, doing an hour on the tread mill, 3 days per week.


I need the most help with:
Not cheating on food choices and decreasing portion size.


Additional Info:
My wife has committed to losing 50 pounds as well and is preparing the meals and not buying any junk food which is extremely helpful to me.
