About me: |
I'm a 56 year old busy mother of 2-20 something girls , one mentally challenged who lives at home.I work a 40 hr. weekend as an x-ray-CT tech-evenings and night shifts; teach kindermusik and piano, and teach zumba for free at my church, along with taking Zumba, and now Pilates at my gym. I have gained and lost and gained the same 10 lbs. since turning 45. Tried lots of diets, and joined sparkpeople, which was grear-but i started spending too much time on the game page. Need to streamline time on the computer for tracking and support. Thought this might be a good website for that

Diets I like: |
Trying to follow the "nutritarian" approach, Dr. Furman's method of eating mostly foods with a high nutrient content- primarily vegetables,fruits,nuts, high fiber grains and lots of water.

Workout of choice: |
ZUMBA, naturally. New to Pilates, but I'm getting a little more used to the torture hour. Walk up and down stairs at work for one hour 2 or 3 times every week-end. Also love to walk when the weather is nice, but not in the cold., like Leslie Sansone walking tapes at night. Alternate days do weights at the gym.

To seriously keep on a healthy diet with as few relapses as possible and continue to exercise , some every day

I need the most help with: |
Staying on track. If I don't have a plan I will pretty much skip meals during the day and snack well into the evening, and add a few glasses of wine and then snack some more - definitely makes me feel bad the next morning and then it is even harder to get back on track.
