Goal
Develop healthy eating and exercise habits that I can stick to for life.

November 11, 2012: I need to lose about 25 more pounds. My biggest challenge is that when life gets either busy or stressful, my best-laid plans seem to fall apart. I want to eat healthy, but also to exercise regularly, both strength training and cardio.


my notes
I feel like I'm doing well staying on track despite the stress around me and a seemingly infinite array of temptations. In fact, today I noticed that I wasn't really interested in any of the available temptations, which include tasty things like fresh biscuits (I made for parents), peanut butter, macadamia nuts, cheese, granola...and the list goes on and on. And I'm managing pretty well despite some pretty draining life circumstances.


workout
drat, I forgot to do my leg lifts this morning. But today I will do squats: transferring Mom from wheelchair to car to wheelchair to car to wheelchair to house...which turned out to be a lot of transfers, plus helping with changes, plus lots of running up and down stairs...it's probably the best workout I've had in a long time! (but I hope not to repeat it soon; I'd rather go for a walk)

1 can of black beans
green peppers and other veggies from chili
1/2 avocado
1 banana


snacks


dinner
eggplant in spaghetti sauce with almond mozzarella
2 ears fresh corn on the cob
