Goal
During my senior year of undergrad I got I got tired of being overweight and decided to finally make a change mainly for health reasons. During that first year I lost a good amount of weight by changing completely how I ate going from soda and junk food to lots of whole grains, lean meats and fruits and vegetables. Also going to the gym became a staple of my daily routine. At my highest weight I was 267 lbs and got in down to 182 lbs through a lot of hard work and determination.

After starting grad school the stress of grad school, I started reverting back into my bad old habits which has lead me to gain a lot of weight back where I ballooned back up to the 230's. Then in Christmas of 08, when visiting my parents they expressed how much of the weight I had gained back and I knew it too, so I decided then and there that I’m going to get back down to 180 and eventually 165. I started working out consistently again and eating healthier again.

Since the beginning of 2009, I’ve lost about 30 lbs through eating healthier foods and being more consistent with both my diet and working out. I’ve also gotten back into running since the beginning of the year and I've officially become a running addict and marathoner. Since 2009, I have run numerous 5k’s, 10ks, 8 Half Marathons and 6 Full Marathons. I never would have thought I would have been able to do this, but I've already accomplished so much this year. I still have some work to do with my weight loss and running, it never ends, it's a lifelong battle.

my notes
Back after a very long hiatus. I've let myself slip away and not happy with what is happening, but I'm back now and I think I need my PT family to help me get back to where I was and where I want/need to be. I've set a new goal to lose 36 pounds by March 17th, which is the date of my next marathon.

This morning I woke up reluctantly early and hit the gym. I got a decent weights session in, hopefully I won't be too sore. Then I hopped on the Stationery bike and got a good workout in.

Breakfast today went pretty well. Lunch is packed for the day, so good choices for the day. Lunch today went pretty well, I stuck to my packed lunch. I did some snacking after lunch but overall did ok.

Dinner went well, came home and heated up leftovers and had some snacks after dinner, but kept it all under control. Overall a good day and a good first day back.
