Protein meal bars/ fruits/ veggies

Is it safe to eat a protein meal bar for breakfast and lunch and then a regular meal at dinner.
I use the protein snack bars for a quick pick me up before I go exercise. But want to start using the meal bars too.
I would eat veggies and a fruit or two added in with the meal bars. How many fruits can you safely eat a day not to have to much sugar? I understand it's natural sugar but I still don't want to over do.

That is like the who idea behind the slim fast diet.
I don't think it would hurt for a while but I don't think it is intended to be long term.
I do that now and again. But I think the more fruit/protien/ carbs. that are natural the better for your body.
So basically what I am saying is I don't think it would hurt you in the short term but I don't know that you should live on it.

The fiber in the fruit counteracts/regulates energy spikes from the sugar, so it's not something you have to worry about. Go ahead and have 8 pieces of fruit if you want - your skin, your immune system, your mental alertness will all directly benefit. Just don't eat 8 pieces of the same fruit every day or you'll overdose on one vitamin or another. I know someone with an eating disorder who ate 2 lbs of carrots a day (that was all she ate) and turned orange with Vitamin A poisoning in about a week.

And unless you're doing the protein bars for convenience, I'd recommend having your real-food meal for lunch - it'll help head off the hunger you are bound to accumulate from basically eating 500 calories for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
