I have always been a fast eater and I think this contributes to eating more than I really need to.

I'm aware of it but I can't seem to fix it! I usually notice too late that I've eaten too fast.

put your fork down b/w bites and drink a lot of water during your meal. Start with low cal soup or salad. Take a fiber pill before you eat

I've always been a really fast eater. I have lost 20 lbs. and am still a really fast eater. Instead of eating 3 large meals really fast, I eat a small meal 6-7x per day (just as fast). This has helped a lot.
I know several other fast eaters, and none of them are overweight. I probably won't ever change the fact that I eat fast. It's just me. But I have changed the foods that I eat fast, and that has made all the difference.

Put a mirror in front of you and watch yourself eat. My dad and my sister are both VERY fast eaters and it is awful to watch. They are literally shoveling it in. Or, try putting a piece of paper in front of you that says SLOW DOWN!!!!!
