What are your numbers?

LDL-45
HDL-31
Total cholesterol-104
Triglycerides-138
Glucose-91

It's very important to know these things when losing weight...I like to compare from year to year see how I'm doing w/all the exercise...Just a simple annual physical exam is all it takes.

Not bad but HDL could be much better.

How are you doing?

For women it's also not a bad thing to have iron levels checked at the same time (sometimes - not every time).

Last year This year
133 151 Total Cholesterol
73 78 LDL
49 56 HDL
2.71 2.70 Total Cholesterol/ HDL Ratio
96/54 96/64 Blood Pressure
52 84 Triglycerides
80 83 Glucose

A lot of my numbers got a worse this year, but my doctor said not to worry they are still good. He said diet may have affected it and when I told him I had shrimp scampi for dinner the night before my test this year he laughed and said that was probably the problem.

Omega 3 is fish right? I like Salmon, Tilapia, Shrimp, Crab, & Lobster. I generally make either Salmon or Tilapia once a week and I'd say one other time a week have something with shrimp or the nice dinner with crab or lobster. So 2x a week.

Eating fish twice a week is great. I'm trying fish oil supplements myself...hopefully they are just as effective.
