Sugar vs. Cane Juice

Again is this the same?

It's pretty much the same thing, in terms of calories and nutrition. The difference is that refined sugar (white sugar) is sometimes processed with bone char from animals, which is a concern to some of us who try to avoid stuff made using animal body parts.

Check out the documentary called "Big Sugar." it's quite well done and tells the history of sugar and its production.

Sugar is sugar . No matter how it is processed, harvested, etc. it still has the same negative effects when it gets into your system.

for obvious reasons, you can't define a word using the word. Sugar is not "sugar."

Sugar is :Any of a class of water-soluble crystalline carbohydrates, including sucrose and lactose, having a characteristically sweet taste and classified as monosaccharides, disaccharides, and trisaccharides. So very different kinds of sugar. See http://www.deliciousorganics.com/Controversies/sweet.htm for interesting info

So, "sugar" being the white powdery stuff from sugar cane or sugar beet, is obviously NOT the same as Cane juice, though cane juice is often further refined into sugar. Cane juice is kinda slightly diluted sugar from sugar case.

no one asked for the definition of sugar. it doesn't matter where the source is. when ingested, they all cause the same reaction in the body.

they don't all cause the same reaction in the body. Last time I checked, chemistry mattered and if the chemical formulation of certain sugars is different, then they affect the body differently.
