My sister recently got a MacBook (laptop), and we're trying to set p a network between my Vista pc, my printer, her XP pc, her printer, and her MacBook. (she she can print wirelessly.)

Is it possible? lol and HOW?

Sounds like all you need is a wireless router and to network the printers.

The geek squad set up our computer network and the printers with the routers...and yes it is possible if they do it! I would never take it on!

OP here - well, I'd never use the geek suwad for anything, I think they're a complete rip off (lmao I bought a eternal hard drive and told me that for a small fee they'd help me set it up..meanwhile it's a plug-n-go type thing lmao)

That's the problem. I hav e a wireless router already set up throughout my home and have addd the printers to the netowork..But the Mac is picking up the internet but not the printer.

Eh, probably some driver issue that I've overlooked..I'll keep trying.

Did you "add" the printer in "System Preferences Application" (on the Mac book)? Or are you just expecting it to pick it up?

Vista is difficult to attach to a network printer - some bug in the program. When the first update is released for Vista, it is supposed to fix that issue. I had thought the update was supposed to come out a couple weeks ago, but I haven't seen it yet.

Vista sucks, in fact I will never buy another PC again. I now have all mac's except for one PC that I keep. If you go the the Apple store or Mac store where ever you are they can tell you how to do it. Or you can call the Mac 800 number and they can walk you through it.

The Community-Driven Education is the best to help us and provide great results. The Project Ownership Where it Belongs is amazing and I like that you shared this post for us to know about these ideas. Also from View details I realize that it is more helpful for us.
