can stopping exercise cause muscle pain?! i can't sleep!!

i've been excersicing pretty regularly every day for an hour or so. this week has been extra busy so i stopped for two days and now at night i get this lingering muscle pain -- dull but won't go away. it's so annoying that it's preventing me from getting a good night's sleep since i wake up every two hours from the pain. does anyone know if this is from my stopping excercise? it makes sense to be sore if you START excercising...but if you stop?!?! anyone suggestions, info would be greatly appreciated and help me sleep easier!!!!

Perhaps its because your supposed to have a day between exercise for your body to recover and repair and your over doing it

Sounds like someone needs - and deserves - a massage!

I get a similar pain to what you are describing when I don't work out as well, particularly in my hips and shoulders. But I think it has less to do with not working out, and more to do with not stretching during the day. Do you stretch on days you don't work out?
