Blotchy Red Face During Cardio?

I just changed my cardio around and I am running for the first time. After 15 - 20 min on the treadmill jogging at about 6.0 speed, my face is very blotchy with red and semi white blotches. I am drinking a lot of water and it doesn't feel like I am overexerting myself too much ( heart rate is around 145 - 153).

Does anyone have any suggestions what is causing this?

this happens to my big sister all the time, and i asked her about it, because i thought she was working too hard or something. she said it just happens when she's getting a good workout and its no measure as to how tired she is.

Not to be the poster that always says to try the search engine here! but I know there were at least two threads about this in the past here and both had a lot of info and a lot of other posters who had similar problems. Try searching for "red face" in the search bar and you'll probably find them.

I get red faced too-but it's always happened to me when I exercise. If it's something new, I would check in with a doctor or perhaps it is too hot in your gym?

red face here too

I also have the same issue with red face. I've been working out hard 4x a week for at least a year. I dont feel exhausted or faint, but looking at me you would think I would. A trainer told me I wasnt breathing. I focused on it and it hasnt changed. i asked my doctor and he said some people's bodies respond that way in their head, like others do in their chest with asthma. He had me try some antihistimines. At first it seemed like it was working, but after several uses it went back.

I get it too. To the point I have to wear a baseball cap out of the gym. I feel great - no illness, exhaustion etc ..... I just look blotchy.

red face

Have you ever looked into rosacea? It might be causing the red face. Other thinkgs can can cause a rosacea flare up are: coffee, hot soup/drinks, spicey foods, alcohol and of course exercise. Look it up on the net see what you think.

There is actually a thread already on this topic here, and I get it too (thus the reason I know about the previous thread). You will be happy to know MANY people deal with this. Some of us just get red faces.

I am fair skinned and am always getting comments about taking it slower etc. by others who see me turn beet red, but when it happens I am not exhusted, I am not dehydrated, I am barely winded... I have just learned to pay close attention to myself and stop listening to others.
