anyone using coconut oil?

So, I've been hearing alot about how coconut oil can boost your metabolism and a good friend of mine swears by it. She didn't change anything except start cooking her food in coconut oil instead of olive oil and she lost 20 pounds in about 4 months.

I just started taking it yesterday and I'm curious to hear about other's experiences

I have heard this too. But it has to be raw and organic. Buy the good stuff by the jar in health food stores and eat a tablespoon a day. It's delicious.

use it two times a day with my apple cidar vinegar and LOVE IT. I am regular, my skin is gorgeous, my hair and nails look different. It's great for controlling cholesterol and vein health!

OP here- I bought organic, virgin coconut oil at whole foods (brand is Spectrum- I use their ground flaxseed too). I tried to eat a teaspoon the other day and it was a little gross to eat it plain! lol I did mix it into oatmeal yesterday and it was yummy.

melt it and you can get it down easier. Sometimes I'll take 1-2 TBSP per morning.

The flavors go really well in stir-fries, too. And the oatmeal trick you used is a good one.

I read that it's really good as a hair conditioner. Has anyone tried this? Results?
