What fad diet have you tried before finding the right one?

Personally, I went through a whole wheat thing where I thats what I would only eat.. I lost weight but not all of it was fat most of it was muscle since I was barely eating protein. I was barely reaching 1,000 calories a day which made me feel lethargic. Now I eat a balanced meal consisting of 40% protein and carbs then 20% good fats; also I've found that keeping blood sugars at bay are the best way to keep a good healthy body. Also 5-6 small meals is good since I never get hungry - ever.

I did Atkins for a year. I lost about 50 pounds. I got sick of doing it and quit. I gained it all back PLUS 40 pounds. Now I just eat more fruits, vegetables and lean proteins, whole grains and lots of water. Much better plan!!!
