Grocery shopping frequency

I hate going to the grocery store but when I eat heathy it seems I have to go constantly because of needing fresh fruit/veggies. How do others do this? Do you go frequently, do online, farmers market?

at least twice a week for a decent size purchase ($15-20 each time), with maybe 1-2 other times to grab something quick ($5-10)

above poster here: I also buy a TON of frozen vegetables because I can keep them as back up and they are quicker (no prep time)

With the exception of a few veggies, I also buy them frozen. It's not the frequency I worry about, it's that I am spending more money. I remind myself that it is worth it.

I usually go about twice a week. I do a lot of cooking so usually I need to buy items for meals I plan to make. Frozen veggies are a godsend, too!!

If I plan ahead-and figure out all our meals for the week (this is rare!!) I end up going once on a big trip, maybe a second time during the weekend if I forgot anything. But my normal protocol is going pretty much every day or every other day. I spend way too much money at the grocery store(all healthy things-I'm a big label reader)!! I guess there are worse things one could spend their money on! I'm also picky about which stores I buy which items at. I go to market basket for a lot of my staples because they are cheaper but they don't carry a lot of the specialty items i use so i go to shaws for that. I also occasionally hit a natural food store in my area for the things you just can't buy anywhere else!!
