Very filling bars

Looking for a quick snack/bar that is very filling and will take the hunger pains away for a bit. Any ideas? I just bought the Kashi bars. I'm assuming the higher the fiber and protein, the more satisfying it will be.

Lara bars are fantastic! No added sugar or any artificial ingredients, lots of fiber. The apple and cherry pie ones are my favorites!

I've had Zone bars for a while now. They are so good. They come in a wide variety of flavors. The mint choc. chip is my favorite. I have it as my 6th meal, kind of like desert, but it's healthy. It also keeps my away from the ice cream my husband is so fond of!

You're right - higher fiber should keep you full longer. Just make sure the calories & total/sugar carbs aren't too high. My favorites that fit the bill are Southbeach Diet cereal bars (peanut butter is darn good) and Kashi TLC Chewy Granola Bars. Both cheap at Costco, with 140 cals each and 3-4 grams of fiber (against 15-20 total grams of carbs).

Conversely, Kashi Go Lean bars fill me up at first but make me crash later, and I always end up over eating the days that I have them (once I made the connection I cut them out). Like many 'protein' bars, they have 290 cals, decent fat and fiber (6 grams each, respectively) but 49 total carbs.

Fiber One Nuts and Chocolate- Very Chocolately and VERY good! 9grams of Fiber too!

I love the Peanut Butter ones too, but they're "3 points". I'm not sure if they're that worth it, but they're WAY too good to resist, that's why I don't buy them.
