i am not doing p90x but it is a workout program that you can buy form beachbody.com. it is over 12 weeks i believe and it is a lot of strenght training, cardio, and yoga combined. it looks like a really good program.

P90x
Yeah, you pretty much got the basics on it, but the reason it is so good, is because what tony horton calls muscle confusion, it doesn't allow your muscles become familiar with the routines.

I was looking at purchasing the P90X program, but have questions about it for you users.
My husband won't let me put a pull up bar in the house. Do you really need one or are there alternative exercises?
I'm quite overweight, but have lifted in the past and love it. Do you find P90X is for fit and in shape people only?
How long are the workouts?
Thanks for your help!

I did P90X for about a month and a half, but got soooo bored of having Tony Horton in my life for an hour at least everyday that I just couldn't face doing it again!
For the PP, you don't need a pull up bar, I don't have one and just did different back and lat exers using bands, stability ball and weights. Also, I don't think it's for the fit and in shape only, the workouts are quite tough going but you can always take a breather, go at your own pace and work up to doing the full exercises. The vids are all about an hour, except the yoga which is an hour and a half.
Don't get me wrong I LOVED the workouts, but following the plan and doing the videos each day does kind of overdose you on Tony... it's like having another husband, but one who makes you jump around for an hour! heheh

that's funny PP. Thanks for the information, that was exactly what I was looking for. I just don't have an hour every day. Right now I'm lucky to get in a walk.
