Weight Loss Maintenance
I'm pretty far from reaching my ultimate weight loss goal but am wondering how hard it will be to maintain. How many calories will it take to maintain considering I exercise almost daily?

It really depends on many factors. Are you building muscle? Because then you'll be building and getting stronger and you'll be able to burn more calories, even when you're hanging out.

Yes, I am building muscle. I'm guessing if I can just maintain my exercise and mostly heathly eating I will be able to maintain pretty well. I'm doing it for the long haul.

Many diets (and most are saying the same thing just packaging it differeinty IMHO) have a maintenance plan. Many of them have you eat similarly to what you are doing now but you get a huge cheat day once a week and you can maintain your weight loss. Cheating, meaning you can stuff your face with anything you want, but only one day a week.

I believe you're going to have to mix things up. Your body starts to resist the same routines and if you notice yourself hitting a plateau or gaining, then you have to start engaging different muscle groups, as well as sampling different menus, different snacks etc.

Daily Energy Expenditure
Use the link below to calculate how many calories you'll need at your desired weight per day just to maintain your weight. I would add in the number of calories you are burning each day on top of the number of calories you can consume, so if it say you should eat 2K calories per day and you'll burn 200 calories working out per day, then you can eat 2,200 calories to stay at your desired weight.

That link is very interesting. Thank you for the info! I didn't realize that the heavier you are, the more calories your body burns each day. Makes sense and that's why people who are closer to their weight loss goal have a harder time losing.
