Exercises for a sore shoulder?

My right rotator cuff area has gotten very sore from pushups and yoga over this summer. Does anyone have any good ideas on how I can begin to work the shoulder into proper working order again. Right now I can barely reach behind me.

I think professional advice is your best bet. The causes of a sore shoulder are many and varied. You could have anything from a tear in ligaments or muscles, to bone irregularities, to adhesive capsulitis. Go ahead and talk to an orthopedist, a physical therapist, or your family doctor. Hope you're feeling better soon.
