I've joined 2 groups & found only one or two other people post. Do I need to find other groups or will this nudge ecourage them to post? 52yrs. old...need to lose 50 lbs.

There's nothing wrong with visiting around lots of groups to see what works for you. Some combinations of people just work better than others.

I concur -- why don't you open a new group called Posters wanted -- I'd join!

I'm in three groups and on one team. In each of my groups there is one other person that I really connect with (that's why I've stayed in those groups). The team is just getting started, so we'll see how it goes. So far everyone seems very motivated. Keep looking until you find what works for you.

Don't give up! I know that not everyone has the time or opportunity to post everyday...but sometimes it IS a matter of finding group members that are really looking for the same thing, and click well with each other! Good luck in your search!

rightNOW
I'm in this group rightNOW. It formed by chance, and by chance we are all older (I'm youngest, I think, at 39). I comment quite a bit myself...There are openings in rightNOW right now...

I just joined teachers-unite. I promise to post. Please join even if you aren't a teacher. I need the support and motivation.

Yeah...hang in there...visit lots of teams and groups and POST..and if no one replies, post again about something else you are thinking about. Get to know the other people there...read their logs and comment (nicely). If it isn't working just say goodbye and leave. I belong to 3 groups and 2 teams. Seems a lot but it works for me. Some teams are close others are quieter but I get in return what I put out there....and I am getting a lot in return.

Group/Team
Joined a group a few months back but it wasn't very active. Joined another group a month later which seemed like a good fit. I didn't post for about a week because I was doing lousy on my diet ( I know ! that's why we are here !!!!!!. When I came back the other members had left . Now I have 3 new members and not one of them has posted a word. Then I decided a week ago to join a team of about 25 people. 5 days I've posted and not one word about anything from anyone !!!!

To 7:58...try multiples. Join not just one group but 3 or 4...and make sure they are active when you join. Add on a team or 2...then do some weeding if things aren't happening (in other words drop out).
Another strategy is to invite friends and family members to join up. I have a long time ally on one of my teams and she really helps mix things up in a good way. We email strategies for getting the conversation going and it has worked really well. People are posting and logging....and they are writing about their bad days too!
You know, right now is high summer and probably a lot of people are on vacation...I put together a mix of groups and teams that tend to be active and all but one is pretty quiet. People are away or are busy enjoying the weather so they may log their days and turn off the computer. I am noticing a lot of half day logging too....think it is summer. So hang in there with your logging and posting and people will return. Also look around or start your own group.
