This one spot...
So Im working on cardio, abs, and upper-body weight training, but I really want to target that beautiful and oh-so-attractive "back fat." Please tell me you know it too, it usually shows up right below the shoulder-blades/bra strap. I put on my new bathing suit and just wish my BACK was more toned. Any exercise suggestions?

Swimming gives you a wonderful back. Ultimately you can't "spot reduce" fat, so if you want to lose it, lose more weight overall. The fat will eventually leave even your worst problem areas.

like the previous poster said, the only way to really burn fat is to do cardio. you can build and/or tone your back muscles but if they're buried under al ayer of fat no one will know it! swimming is a great option. best of luck to you!

If your a member of a club, ask an employee. I have love handles and lower back fat and I hate it. What I do are low rows, high rows, dead lift, squats, stiff legged dead lift with bars and dumbells, you can take a pully rope and twist your core and that can get your abs and back, there are lots of things to do to tone while doing cardio.

Swimming, absolutely -- I know you can't spot reduce, but I swear my back looks and feels different after a few sessions of backstroking.

Using the rowing machine is a bit boring, but seemed to help me tone my back. I alternated days between the rower (30 minutes) and the elliptical (45 minutes) with circuit training every day. Good luck! : )
