not looking to drop pounds?

i am wondering how many people on peertrainer are not aiming for weightloss specifically. personally, i just want to be strong & healthy and maybe gain a few pounds of muscle, but i sometimes feel out-of-place here. can anybody relate?

(i'm not trying to be snooty or anything- i applaud all of you who work so hard to lose weight! more power to you! i'd just like to know that i'm not totally alone here)

hi there....

I was initially trying to lose weight, and I did, but now I am looking to tone up and gain some muscle.

Do you have a group with an open space? I'd be happy to join you! Post your group name!

I am also looking to add muscle, not necessarily drop weight. I have been losing inches though the scale doesn't move so I know I'm putting on muscle. Would be glad to have the support.

I am done losing weight and now I would like to continue toning and maintain my weight loss :-)

I still log my food because I want to keep eating healthy and not slip back into bad habits.

I agree. My group is great, but I do feel like it's hard for us to motivate each other because we've all got different goals.

So, original poster: as you see, you're not alone! It seemed like there were enough of us with this common goal, so I created a new group called "Toning and Maintaining". Hope to see you there! Maybe we could start up one of those teams if this group gets full.

I'm also looking to maintain. This part has almost been harder than losing the weight! Especially on a sat morning like this where my daughter has birthday parties and cake -

I started a group awhile ago called "maintainers." Now everyone has dropped except me, but the group is still there. Due to newly restricted internet access at work, I haven't been posting as often as usual, but if anyone would like to join, I'd love the company, and I'll try to post more often, or I'll give up the group to all of you!
