Any Fitbit users here?

I just started using one about a week ago. I am interested in finding out what other people think and talking about how you are using it. Mostly I am looking at baselines of everyday activity and sleep so I can plan for improvements that seem realistic and sustainable (very active at work and I feel very tired at the end of the day).

If you don't know what a fitbit is check out the link. It's a new electronic tracking device...much more than a pedometer because it tracks sleep and other things too.

Is that like the direct life thing from the spotlight?

I'd never heard of the directlife tracking device until you mentioned it 11:19. I watched the video after googling it and it seems similar enough. The devices seem to gather the same type information. Fitbit is not waterproof but it synchs when you walk by the base if your computer is on.

I wanted to know what my base levels for activity are so I can add exactly what needs to be added to getg a better program going.

The fitbit monitors your sleep too which is pretty cool because I want to know about rest too.

SO I guess I am interested in all those type devices....similar uses and what people are learning from them.

Fitbit

I see this post is from March. Are you still here on PT? I just bought a FitBIt yesterday.

FitBit user here!

I just started using my FitBit again this week! I'd love to join a group if you start one!

I love my Fitbit! I'm coming up on a year now (11 months) with it and it's really been interesting for me to see my sleep habits and my activity level. I've never decided to 'meet' a particular goal, but I've definitely noticed increased activity levels just from awareness! I also love that I can wear it on my bra and no one 'knows' I'm wearing a pedometer....

I'm not the most consistent PT'er right now, but I thought I'd put in my 2 cents that I've been really happy with it for the price and ease of using. Also, mine broke recently (last week, part of the outside case chipped and scratched me) and they're currently sending me a replacement for free. I'm waiting for it to get here, but I've been really impressed with the company throughout this warranty process. (Super easy, email only!)

Anyway, if you start a group, let me know. I'm hoping to re-join a few groups here in the next month or so (once I'm back to consistency with PT).
Thanks!
