Just a thought

Sometimes it's not enough to have a general desire to lose weight; it can be helpful to take a weekend and clean out your life: Give the clothes you never wear to a charity. Clean out your bedroom (including the drawers and the dusty space under the bed) and rearrange the furniture. Throw out all of the food that you know is bad for you. Throw out anything that holds bad memories for you, like pictures of ex-boyfriends or little things that make you feel guilty. Buy a scale, put it in your bathroom, and vow to weigh yourself at least once a week even if you dread the answer. Most importantly, be absolutely clear with yourself about what you want to achieve, be it health, weight loss, fitness, or just general happiness. Figure out how you're going to get there, write down the general plan (maybe with some encouraging quotes), and stick it up somewhere you can see it.

I guess what I'm saying is that it will really hit home that you're starting on a journey if you clean out your life. It'll feel like starting anew.

Thanks for the support guys :) Other little things help too, I think: Emailing friends you haven't spoken to in a while, balancing your checkbook, learning about finances (Smart Women Finish Rich is an AWESOME book btw).
