EatTHISdiet

http://www.drgourmet.com

This is a FREE website created by a doctor to help people cook and eat healthy. It might interest you!

I am going to give this a try. I don't think I my family would follow suit with a lot of this to begin with, but may eventually come around. I think a lot of these meals could be prepared ahead of time.

Here is a website quote. “Just tell me what to eat!” said a patient when Dr. Harlan told her she needed to lose weight to protect her health. So he did.

Working with her and many other patients, he created an easy-to-follow meal plan to help them lose weight. Try eatTHISdiet and see how easy it can be to cook and eat healthy.

Finished with the six weeks of eatTHISdiet - Original? Try eatTHISdiet - Comfort Food.

Hope this helps someone.

I'm not so sure about this diet. It recommends 1000 calories/day to lose weight and 1200 to maintain one's optimum weight. That sounds low to me.

OP here. Your right about that. On the site map it will show you for the menu plans what the serving recommendations are for up to 2000 calorie diets.

The site recommended 1000 for me but that just aint gonna happen for this gal!

With things like this I just tend to take away from it what I know will be healthy/beneficial for me and I assume others will do the same.

I really like the recipes and the whole idea that it premaps the menus and shopping lists. I also have a problem with making sure I try new things and also try to get lots of different veggies in so I am looking forward to trying this.

I am not sure about the optimum weight. All it asked was my height. There is no question about muscle mass, age, frame. The optimal weight for me based on my hieght was 130. The number of calories it suggested (1200) is on the low end of what I eat (1200-1400).
