Great Snack! Clif Nectar bars

First I was hooked on Lara bars - whole foods, not processed, mostly a nice mix of dates, nuts, dried fruit and ranging from 170-250 calories.

but now the Clif Nectar bars are it! Vanilla cashew is awesome before the gym and I love the chocolate walnut (just like a brownie!) but with the same type of wholesome ingredients.

Good source of fiber, enough fat to make you full and around 140 calories.

Also try the "kids" Clif Z Bar for 120 calories (chocolate brownie).

Luna has expanded it's range so much, I love them all from Key Lime Pie to Iced Oatmeal Cookie.

Where do you buy these? Grocery store? Nutrition store?

All of these bars get old pretty quickly, even the ones I loved at first. For me, I just take around snacks with about an ounce of nuts and about 1/2 ounce dried cranberries or raisins. I never get tired of these since they ARE real food that I love, and it's a lot cheaper.

Sounds like the sugar content will be high, are they?

It's the texture of these bars plus the chocolate or other sweet flavor that satisfies me. Just the names (Caramel Nut Brownie, Cherry Covered Chocolate) make me feel like I am really treating myself, too!

I also make a homemade trail mix but sometimes the bars are a nice treat especially the ones with chocolate! I think the trick is not to eat them every day ....otherwise you will get tired of them.....

For a little chocolate, I throw in some chopped up 70% cocoa solids chocolate in to the homemade trail mix.
