herbal colon cleanse?

Has anyone tried one of these? I've seen several websites (like with rave reviews and reeally gross pictures of what supposedly comes out of you. i'm a big believer in regularity, so it makes sense to me on some level. on the other hand, i don't want to fall for snake-oil salesmen, and i know a lot of doctors think it's silly. thoughts?

I use Arbonne's Herbal Colon Cleanse every day. It's very mild and just keeps me regular. It does NOT give me the runs or cramps or anything like that. My doctor and research says that a healthy working colon will have you eliminate 3 times a day (3 in/3 out daily). Just one of the herbal supplements a day does it for me.

Check it out at the link.

I did order the Dr. Natura colon cleanse and my whole family used it. Yes, you do notice a difference. I lost about 10 pounds and I noticed my vitimins are better absorbed. I could not stick with the daily intestinal cleanse, but, I used the Kleri tea, Paranil, and increased my water intake. My group is Motivated For Change.

Is this the same as laxatives? I thought it was unhealthy to use laxatives on a regular basis.

watch out for websites like drnatura which are SELLING products. they are there to make money and provide only one-sided views. Not the best way to make medical decisions. They don't have any obligation to make a safe product or to tell you if they have potentially serious side effects.
regularity is one thing.....a good thing. and if you are having problems with this, I suggested talking to your physician instead of trying to "self treat"

I would be careful of certain herbal products... some of them contain some pretty questionable ingredients that can do alot of damage to your intestines, as well as interact with medications you may already be taking. Do your research and discuss it with your doctor or gastroenterologist.
