Grease Craving HELP!

I've been eating healthfully for a month and a half and I haven't had a single fried thing. (Yay) However, I'm now craving something greasy, like can't-think-of-anything-else-craving. I used to have fries at least once a week as part of my favorite dish from my favorite restaurant (which is only 2 blocks from my building, unfortunately). What do I do? Do I allow myself a small portion of something fried to keep from bingeing? Do I try to stay strong and hope my craving goes away? Is there another option? I've made myself oven fries a couple of times but they're just not the same.

I beleive that in order for anyone to be successful in the long run, and to ultimately be able to make a change in lifestyle to a healthier one, you have to allow yourself to enjoy your favorites every once in a while. Moderation is key and you've already done so well for so long, I think you deserve to treat yourself! I could never give up completely any of my favorites and doing so, I believe, would just be setting myself up for failure long-term. Reward yourself every now and then! If you know you have a "treat" to look forward to, it will be easier to eat healthfully on a regular basis. Enjoy!
