STRESSED AND I WANT FOOD
I'm soooo stressed out right now, I have so much reading to do, and an exam and a paper due this week, and I just want to start stuffing my face with food... I know it's not going to help my stress level, it's just going to make it worse because I did well all day and I don't want to ruin it!!! Actually, just posting on here makes me feel a little better... but I'm just really trying to resist the urge to give in and stuff my face. Argh. Okay back to History reading for me... maybe getting more work done will distract me.

Re:Stressed
I know it doesnt take away the stress, but when I am bored and want to eat,
I floss and then brush my teeth. Then i find that I am not hungry at all.

Try sipping water or a diet coke while you are working. Or, the ultimate stress reliever - exercise!! :) You can do it!

I find hot tea w/splenda helps alot when I am engaged in a stressful sedentary task (like studying). The warmth is soothing and the sweetener helps me feel like I am having a little 'treat'. I indulge myself by stocking a variety of teas like Mango Passion, Licorice Spice, Market Spice, Tazo Passion, Gun Ma Cha (sp?), Jasmine, etc.... I keep some loose and some tea bags and it's become a little ritual to brew a cup of tea. Just filling the kettle starts to calm me down now. If you are really hungry and not just thirsty you will know after the first cup. Slowly sip a second cup while you nibble a snack.
There are many other great suggestions here. I hope your evening is calmer and productive. Check back in to let us know how you're doing :-)

OP here-- Thanks for all the great suggestions!! I brushed/flossed, did a few jumping jacks, and started chugging some water, and everything worked great. Phew. Now it's the morning and I feel wonderful that I didn't give in to temptation. Thanks everybody!!
I'll have to go out and get some tea and Splenda... I actually used to drink that when I was at home, but I don't have any here at school :( Looks like it's a trip to the grocery store soon!
Thanks again for all the suggestions :)
