I do measure it regularly and I am a size 29 at the absolute smallest size of my waist. If I move the tape measure down a bit I'm a 31.

I'm now 33. Start point was 39 1/2. I measure a bit- care more about size that weight, but I don't do this .5 or .25 bit- I only count it when I get down a whole inch.

Tips to bring your waist down:

Nothing helps better than dancing. Swing is about the only thing that doesn't require a lot of waist dancing but everything else does. Do you dance? You can even do it in your own living room.

Belly Dancing!

This is the best slimming for waist because it teaches isolation of the muscles.

I measure often - when the scale doesn't go in my favor!

I measure often - I also weigh daily just to keep myself motivated. Whenever the scale starts to discourage me I get the measuring tape out and find that the inches have gone waaaaaay down even in just a week!

One of the posters above say they don't care about the .5" or .25" bit - I DO! Every bit counts! A .25" or .5" loss in a week is still EXCELLENT!!

My waist at start of PT on 12/16/05 was: 33.75 (18P)
at 2/6/06 it was: 31.5 (14P)

I also track where I am at on a catalog sizing chart. I keep the sizing chart consistent since they all vary but it helps me set mini goals - it's easy to say I'd like to lose 1" to be down to the next size! It's hard to judge in pounds what you need to lose to be down to the next size!!!
