What do you need help with most?
As far as achieving your goal on PT (whatever that may be), what do you need help with most?
I think it's extremely important to identify these factors if we ever want to get anywhere. So spill. :]

Well, right now I'm trying to quit smoking along with keeping up the weight loss journey. I guess the help I need is more of a control issue. Telling myself that what I want may not always be good for me and that if it's not good for me then I don't need it. Of course, words are always easy to say, it's the action and the belief that are the hardest factors of this journey.

my biggest hurdle ...
is long term commitment to my goal. I go along fine for weeks, sometimes months and then suddenly I'm off and before I know it, I've undone all my progress :(

I just need help getting started. I know once I see results I will be motivated for a while. My first goal is to see the scale at the dr.s office move down to the 250 weight. I have an appointment this week and am afraid of what the scale will show me-I am guessing 270. That is almost an all time high for me-278 was the highest.

I have been a binge eater for 28 years now. It feels like I've tried everything, including years of counseling but I still do it. I want to stop before this kills me.

- Making wise choices, regardless of situation or setting.
- Rationalization.
- Portion control, knowing when to stop eating.
- Mindless eating, cravings.

JUST DINNER AND THAT IS ALL
I get so severe for a long time and then I just derail and lose it for several days, I have identified my one key to permanent weight loss (sitting down to dinner, not going for seconds and after that being done eating for the day) If I can focues on doing that ONE thing I lose tons of weight, because the rest of my whole complicated routine is down pat, but it is hard...
right now my motivation is to drop my 1/2 marathon time by 20 mins (!) in the fall... that will be my big crutch to keep me motivated.

WEEKENDS! I do great all week, exercise like crazy, eat well, and then the weekend comes and crash! I work the whole next week to remove the damage I did! It's a frustrating cycle.
