Late night snacker

How do you get past those late night cravings? When I get done working out I am so hungry I just want to eat everything. I get so hungry.

There is another thread on this topic going on right's about 2/3rds of the way down the page, called "Late night eating". Check it out - there are some good suggestions there.

Also check to make sure you're eating enough during the day, and figure out if you're really hungry (broccoli sounds good) or just snacky (only sugar/salt/etc sounds good). If you're really hungry, eat a healthy, balanced snack (with protein and a little fat to keep you full longer).

And look at your eating schedule...could you move dinner to after working out so that you still have a big chunk of calories left in your day?

avoiding those late night splurges...

One thing I do is I drink a lot of fluid. If you're not fond of water make some tea. Also, sometimes I just want to chew on something, so instead of eating I have sugar-free gum...its a great distraction and really gets my mind off food.
