Heavy Chest

I just recently started working out regularly but I want to move to the next step of walk/jog/walk. The problem is I am very heavy chested and I can't seem to find any kind of bra that will keep me from bouncing. My body is adjusting to the walking and I can tell it's time to step up the intensity. I have thought about biking but I really want to run a marathon this year but I can't start training until I find the support I need for this chest. Any advice or suggestions welcome

While Champion is the best mainstream manufacturer of sports bras, I have still not found one that will hold me in place while running or doing jumping jacks (I'm a DD-DDD). My sister, who had a breast reduction ages ago, used to wear 5 bras when she went running and had endless rashes...hence the surgery.

However, I recently came across a brand called Enell (www.enell.com), and from the pics, it looks like armor! Recommended by Oprah, apparently...they cost about 30% more than the average sports bra, but I'm thinking of giving it a whirl myself.

re: the previous post - If Oprah recommended it that's probably a good one to get. Oprah seems to be "well-endowed" and was probably dealing with the same issues.

I wish I had the contact for this women's fitness center by me still (the fitness center closed and she moved) - she had a lady in there with some sort of bra that worked miracles for "well-endowed" women. I have no idea what the name of it was but I witnessed first-hand the women raving about how great they were. I'll see what I can dig up.

You may want to google Title 9. I hear they make a lot of great sports bras.

Enell is Great!

I have tried them all and this is the only one that allows me to run. I am a DDDD and they are all over the place but when I put on the Enell, it holds them in. I think they are worth the price.

I don't have any experience with heavy chests (I have quite the other side of the problem...any sports bra flattens me entirely), but I second the Title 9 suggestion - their whole company is women-focused, and I've really liked everything I've ever gotten from them.

i third the title 9 suggestion.

and try their "last resort" bra.

as they say, "it ain't pretty, but it does the job"

as a DD, I have found success with the "3 reasons" bra. (and that one comes in pretty colors :) )

Thank you all for your advice. I think I am going to look into the Enell website. Sounds like I may find what I need. Thank you
