Health Drink Recipe

I was going through my mother-in-laws recipe box over the weekend and found a good smoothie recipe that she's had since she worked at a health club. I tried it this morning and it's really good. I thought I'd share it.

1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1 cup yogurt
1 egg (that grossed me out, but you don't even know it's there)
1 teaspoon honey (optional)
1 1/2 cups fruit

Mix well in blender. Makes about 5 cups.

ooo. I love smoothies. Not sure about the raw egg though :( bleh.
Here's another one for you to try:

1 tbsp ground flax seed
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup fatfree yogurt(vanilla)
1/4 cup frozen berries (blueberries are best)
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tbsp honey

The measurements aren't really necessary. Just adjust the ingredients to whatever you like. You can add a scoop of protien powder too, if you like.

try substituting apple juice for orange juice.
get a sort of "natural" apple juice. they tend to look a little cloudy, and I think they taste so much better than the more processed juices.

I think it is good to use the "natural" juices because of all that added sugar the processed ones have.

OP HERE...

I forgot to put in the recipe that it also calls for 1 cup of milk. Oops!

Thank you for this recipe! It seems very tasty and healthy. I think I will try it as well. I have been exhausted for several months and now I try to feel better. I used CBD oil for my mental health and it also helps against my headaches. As you can see, I use it quite often and I haven't noticed any drawbacks.
