Weird weight issue

Lately, when I eat well and exercise (as opposed to eating way too much or exercising way too little), the number on the scale rises dramatically. This is not a muscle gain issue, either, because this is a very new problem (and I've been working out for years). I am eating enough (not too much) and am exercising properly, and yet the weight I'm gaining is astronomical. It's really starting to freak me out.

Anyone have this happen?

I have had the same problem. I have always loved working out and have had to take a couple of weeks off here and there, but I was always to get right back into it.
Now ......... I workout, keep my cals low, eat healthy and the scale goes up. I actually put it down to age and hormones .... sigh .....

What kind of time frame are you talking about? If your weight goes up suddenly over just a couple of days, that's water weight.

Also, what is "eating well" to you?

Get your thyroid checked. A lot of people have hypothyroid and don't even know it.
