Women - PMS and water weight gain solutions?
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to minimize this? Every month I gain a couple of lbs right before my period.

The above posters must be men. The OP might not mind the number...but I agree it does suck to not fit into pants and walk around feeling like a whale. God cut the woman a break.

I did not mean to be mean - i hate the haters on these posts. I just know for my own sanity I don't weight myself during the bloat days because then I see that number go up, so I get depressed, more likely to binge and then I might actually gain those 2-3 lbs! (yes, i am female).
If you are on birth control and have a few months before your big day just switch to one where you can take it for a few months continuously (seasonale, levlin, etc.). You will need 2 or 3 months for your body to get used to it though otherwise you might have some spotting and that would be a disaster on your wedding day!
