Rollerblade recommendations?
I need a new pair. Mine are 7 years old and they are ready to retire. I'll be going online and to the store down the street but I would love first hand experience, if anyone has any. thanks!

If you already have 'em you know this, but don't get the cheap ones! They will just destroy your experience with low-density wheels and sticky bearings. My bf and I have been shopping for him recently and I think we will go for the "intermediate" level K2 skates. These use high-quality bearings and have large-diameter wheels for speed. Also, the soft boot with the minimal had plastic exo is comfortable for most people.
I love to inline skate AND play inline hockey. While "fitness" skates are not suitable for hockey, hockey skates are JUST FINE for fitness skating the rest of the time. (I go about 12 mph on long skates.) I have wide feet. After some experimenting I've settled on Mission "E" skates, which really are wide enough! Mine are "hi-low," with 80 mm wheels in back and 72 mm wheels in the front. Some hockey skates also have rockered wheelbases to make turning easier, but those are expensive skates.
A note on wheels, too -- the high-durometer wheels will last a lot longer for fitness skating on asphalt. I've had really good luck with Labeda's "asphalt" wheels, although they're ugly as anything.
