Diet changes to support my diebetic dad and high blood pressured mom
Ok what do you think? I am one of seven children and we have the most amazing parents, anyway. My dad is a diebetic for about 12 years now and has been able to keep it at bay (w/ no insulin) by diet and excercise...my beautiful mother is just getting the high blood pressure thing going probably from worrying about my dad. My father has his toe amputated about 2 months ago which ahas made his sugar rocket and now is being threatened w/ insulin if major change does not happen in 30 days.He and my mother have vowed to each other to step up the excercise and be strict on diet so they can continue to be active together. They are 67 &68 years old and have been married for 43 years. I feel as though I want to support them by sacraficing on the chocalate department my favorite and then running a race probably my next marathon in honor of them. They are very humble people and Irish so stubborn as far as asking for help so this is what I was thinking of doing to show them my love and support what do you think?
