Body Dismorphic Disorder

What to do if you think you may have this disorder? It's not serious but I have some of the symptoms of someone who may have it. I'm not full-out going insane but I still see someone fat when I look in the mirror and I nit-pick myself for my flaws. Any helpful advice?

I have this problem too. I've recently lost over 90 lbs and I'm down to a normal weight, but I still feel like I look fat even though everyone tells me differently.

I've found that when I watch the show How to Look Good Naked, I feel better about myself. I also try to concentrate on the things I like about myself rather than the flaws. I'm considering seeing a therapist so that it doesn't get worse. You might want to do the same.

Find a therapist who has a large amount of experience/specializes on eating disorders. Even though BDD isnt directly an eating disorder it is close enough. You will probably waste your time if you go to someone who doesn't have specific experience with what you are dealing with. is a good resource to find someone. see link:
