It is a useful description of a popular subject. There is even a new Fat Smashers Unite team on PT, probably a good place to get the low down. There have even been discussions in the community, questioning the premise of the diet and calling it the latest fad. Members of the PEERtrainer community have strongly rejected that assertion, saying that it is really helping them. It is this kind of trusted endorsement that has gotten our attention. Read On!

"About Fat Smash Diet in a Nutshell"

"Here's the skinny LOL on the FAT SMASH Diet, Check my log out to see what I'm eating & how fast I am loosing during Phase I detox! It's unbelievable. I was severly addicted to sugar right b4 I started FS Diet, eating 1-2 candy bars at night & 4 servings of lf icecream, cookies.... really bad. After 1 day on FS my cravings were gone & the wt started coming off. (5.75 in 5 days! I only want to lose my last 15 lbs so that I can maintain for life. But I can never seem to get there. Now I know I can!

This is really not a diet but a normal healthy way to eat by the end of phase 4.
There are 4 phases. Phase 1 is detox to clean out your body of all the junk we have been abusing ourselves with. You eat all the fruits & veggis you want except white potatos & Avacados. You also can have up to and any of the following: unlimited legumes/beans & tofu, 1 cup of oatmeal, 2 cups of brown rice, 2 cups lf or 1% milk, 2 6oz yogurts and 4 eggwhites (eggbeaters) only water & 2 cups of herbal tea to drink. you get a very limited amount of olive oil & lf & ff dressing to use. You do this for 9 days. You are not suppose to weigh until AM of day 10 but I weigh in almost everyday, the progress motivates me! My husband hasn't weighed yet.

Phase 2 for 3wks you keep everything you are eating in phase I & add in most protein meat chicken turkey fish (except pork), 1 whole egg add unsweetend ceral, 1 oz of cheese, coffee 1 10 oz cup & 2 diet pops a day come back.

Phase 3 4 weeks: increase the amounts of protein, adds ff mayo & peanut butter, 2 whole eggs, 3 cups of lf milk now & 1.3 oz of lf/ff cheese, 2 cups of freshly squeezed juice & whole grains bread 4 slices a day, 1 cup of pasta and 1 desert serving per day.

Phase 4 for life every food you want come back including alchol & all sweets/chips everything. the idea is your able to now handle a snack or high fat meal & go back to your regular good habits you have learned to retrain your body with.

He also demands 5 days of cardio work out a week & the time spent exercising increase 20% every phase. This is key to burning calories while reducing your calorie intake w/food make you loose the wt twice as fast.

It is so easy & I have gotten creative w/recipies during the 1st 9 days & we grilled veggies & ate lots of bean soups.

No gimicks, not a lot of rules the book is even cheap on line to buy. I think the website is www.fatsmashdiet.com

Goodbye Letter to 140's

This is such a funny and well written post:

We’ve know each other for a long time now, and when I first met you I thought you were great. You were new and exciting. I’d just gotten through a very tough relationship with 150’s (he and I didn’t get along very well and I felt depressed most of the time we were together) when you came along like a breath of fresh air. I was proud to be seen with you. I liked going shopping with you for new clothes, and most of my friends said we looked great together. I was so happy to be with you.
But lately I’ve become dissatisfied with our relationship. I know it’s not fair to bring up issues from our past but I’ve never really forgiven you for those flabby upper arms when we first got together. And it seems like lately all we do is fight about the whole fat, flabby belly thing (I know that’s not all your fault and that I’m still carrying baggage from my relationship with 160’s and pregnancy but it’s still something we’ve never agreed on and I’ve decided I’ve had enough).
I think the time has come for us to go our seperate ways. In fact, I’m writing you this letter to tell you that I will be leaving you in the next few days and I don’t plan on ever coming back. I know we’ve been getting along really well these last few weeks but I think that’s partly because I knew things were ending between us (sorry) and because I realized that I didn’t have to settle. I know I can do better. This might seem harsh but we both knew from the beginning that I didn’t want this to be a long term thing. Actually, you probably sensed this was coming by how much time I’ve been spending at the gym and how much salad I’ve been eating (isn’t it ironic that the thing that brought us together in the first place is now the very same thing that’s helping me get away from you).
Anyway, I wish you all the best. I’m sure there are lots of other girls that are longing to be with you but I am not one of them anymore. Maybe you could settle down and have a happy, long term relationship with someone taller.

Sincerely,
Ellie
-ellie81

New Calorie Wiki Contest

Between now and October 15th, the user who adds the most new entries and useful edits to the Calorie Wiki

A wiki is a simple to use database that is editable by its users. With the PT Calorie Wiki, you can to add a broad range of information about a food- detailed nutritional information, recipes, your experience with the food. You can also "tag" the entries. Tags are simply common identifiers that allow you and others to search for information in a variety of different ways. There is also a comments section, which allows the members of PT to carry on a conversation about each entry.

The Calorie Wiki is already filled with a core database as well as many new entries. The way we set it up is in keeping with PEERtrainer's mission-- people helping people.

As a fun incentive to get this new feature going, we are going to give away a new iPod, the cool one that plays movies, to the user who comes up with the most creative, interesting, helpful and informative Calorie Wiki entry.

The PEERtrainer community will nominate the potential winners by adding the "Best of PT Wiki" tag to an entry. PEERtrainer will then choose the winner from the nominees. We will run this until Aug 15, and then choose a winner.

Have fun!
-Jackie

Elle's notes from yesterday....about the scale....

I realized I've been so

scales don't work for everyone, but they definitely work for me! My

There were many great suggestions made, like this one from "trish" who
has lost more than 60 pounds since starting her journey.

"Vegetables are your best friends. The more vegetables I eat, the more
weight I lose. If you're just starting out on your weight loss journey,
just add more veggies to your diet and cut out those foods that are
overtly unhealthy. If you can't maintain a change of addition to your diet you most likely won't be able to maintain a change of restriction."

Click here to read more advice from our members.

I wanted to share this with all of you because many of respondents were
members who made some profound changes in their habits. The responses
contained insights that other members found to be a great help.

If you're looking to "get back into it" there's a team that was created just for you.

There are more Teams being created every day.

I hope you're having a great summer! Please email me directly with your
