Help! I hate tofu.

I have tried to like tofu.  I am "almost" a vegetarian....I haven't eaten red meat since December of 2005.  I love veggies.  I love, love, love Indian dishes with paneer (I thought it was tofu...oh, well).  I really want to love tofu, but, well, I don't like to eat it.

I can't tell you how much tofu I have bought at my local healthy grocery stores.  I put it in the cheese section of my fridge and then I ignore it, day after day after day.  Eventually, I realize it is really old or, it reminds me that it is really old by growing beautiful pastel fungi on its surface.  Then I toss it into the garbage and I am so relieved that it is gone that I breathe a sigh of relief.

I have tried dicing tofu into stir fried vegetables.  Yuk.  I have tried slicing it thin for breakfast (double yuk).  I have tried tofu recipes from reputable vegetarian cookbooks, but most of these dishes are not to my liking.  I can't think of any way in which I haven't tried to prepare tofu, but, I still hate it.

I just came back from a health spa where tofu was secretely infiltrated into most meals.  I liked most of them.  So, I am willing to admit that I just haven't figured out what makes this high protein, low fat, almost perfect food delectable.

I know I need to embrace a tofu lifestyle.  I want to embrace a tofu lifestyle.  So, here is what I propose, send me your best tofu recipe (tasty, visually appealing, healthy nutritional value) and Peertrainer (www.peertrainer.com) will publish it on the world reknown (perhaps a bit exaggerated) PEERtrainer Calorie Wiki.

Whoopee!  Here we go.  A PEERtrainer tribute to tofu..
