I am a 46 yr old mother of 2 grown children, one grandson and another on the way.

I'm 16 living im milwaukee WI im a very active person, love sports.

I am 27 yrs old with 2 small kids. I have joined WW twice and have had to stop do to finances. I am extremely interested in losing the weight and keeping it off.

I am 21 years old, just beginning my career in a very fast paced industry. Looking forward to this new chapter in my life and would like to loose the weight to go along with it!

I had been on Weight Watchers for 3 years. I did not get to my goal. I would like to get there now.

I am a single 30 yrs old woman. I work full time and go to school part time. I love the outdoor activities such as camping and hiking. Photography is another favorite pass time.

I used to run track and cross country in college. Since college I have realized that running is a dangerous sport. So I decided to do triathlons. I have however, moved on since I don't have the ability to train for 3 sports. Recently I have taken up rowing. Now I am on track with a sport I love. Only thing left to do is get my body back into the shape I love.

i have blonde hair and blue eyes, i like long walks on the beach and getting caught in the rain... i like pina coladas... but im not really in to yoga... y'know?

I live in Brooklyn, am married, almost 38, and have a 5 year old son and a 15 montl old son. I work in international human rights.

I'm a 46 year-old mom of two teen boys, who don't drive yet, and really need full-time chauffeurs. Currently taking care of my husband, who is undergoing chemotherapy. Also beginning demolition for a house remodel, which is keeping me even busier than normal.

I am a senior in college who upon moving from home gained about 20lbs and i'm ready to lose it.

I recently became a Lacto=Ovo Vegetarian (a month or so ago) and I've really felt the difference. I'm not planning on loosing weight from it, but I'm not as tired and have more energy because I tend to eat healthier things like fruits and veggies since I've gone vegetarian. I'm still in high school, just to let you know. But I'm not comfortable mentioning my age and location for safety reasons (no offense.) I really hope this group helps me and I'm able to reach my goal weight.

43yr. old female-Love to cook & bake. I enjoy jazz music, writing poetry, enjoy life!

I have been with my partner for 9 years and we have no children at this time. I work in higher education and I am also working on my doctoral degree.

I'm a single 24 yrs student who weighs 135 ponds. I love my body now because I have started working out regularly and my attitude has changed since. Honestly attitude makes the world of a difference on how you feel about yourself and how others treat you. That's what I'm finding out and working out keeps it high. (Until I eat a chocolate cake)

I'm 26 and work in the lab as a research associate at a biotech company. I like the work environment, but the job's not very satisfying. On the flipside, it keeps my on my feet half the day and we've got a small gym in the building, so really I have no excuse!! I've been hovering around 135-140 lbs for awhile now; need to get myself together and FOCUS! Severely broke my leg in an accident years ago, and its keeping me from running. VERY frustrating. Am seeing a doctor for some ongoing problems, but its slow-going. Currently, running is on hold. :(

I'm a senior at college in boston, and am just under 10pounds overweight according to my BMI which I'm using as a rough gauge to my ideal weight. I've already lost 12 pounds in the past 2-3 months and would like to continue with that, hopefully not just losing 10 more but more that that, even. I'd really like to have lost it by the end of the year, but failing that, then graduation.

I am almost 21 years old and going to college full time. I've had weight issues since I was little. I love training dogs and hanging out with friends.

I am 40 and feeling older everyday. I used to be very active but lately I have been finding every excuse in the book to be lazy. I injured myself running in a marathon in 2005 and I have been slow at getting back into working out. After gaining 25 pounds very quickly after that injury I have been going up and down with the same 10 pounds. Now I need to get rid of all 25 for good!

I am all woman. lol.

I am 25 yrs old, 5ft and 145 lbs. Although many charts say I should weight between 110-128 (or whatever). I love my body at 130. I wasn't always 145. In fact, in July I weighted 134 lbs. Due to poor eating habits and the stress of Graduate school, I have gained weight. I would like to loss the weight, but do so, but changing my eating habits. I want it to be a lifestyle, not a fad.

I'm a 27 year-old woman living in Baltimore city. I married the love of my life in December, completed my Masters Degree in May, started a new job in June, and am now in the process of searching for our first home and planning for our family. It's been a busy year and I'm fighting that dreaded "Newly-Wed Nine" weight gain.

I'm 23 living in Upstate NY wih my boyfriend and our puppy....Last summer I lost almost 30 lbs, and felt amazing. Once winter came I stopped going to the gym as much and lost my motivation. Then I bought a house, then a dog...so I've been too busy to be conserned with me. I've gained about 9 lbs back.

I got married in June and have been putting on weight since then. I was successful at weight watchers a few years ago, but have put just about all the weight back on. I'm looking forward to creating healther eating habits and living a more active lifestyle I can pass on to my future children.

I'm 31 year old male. I have 2 kids (4,3) and I want to get back into shape.

Funny, sarcastic, witty, outgoing 20 yr old who has indulged in the "college lifestyle" a little too much. I'm really good at writing down goals, but I'm not great at sticking to them. I would like to finally embark on a lasting healthy lifestyle, so I don't screw things up for myself later on in life.

I'm 33, I have 3 wonderful children: 8, 12 & 15. I'm happily married and live in Charlotte NC. My ultimate goal would be to lose 45 lbs. but at this point I will be happy with just 1 lb. that would stay lost!

I am Filipino American, 5' 4'', 175 lbs, mother of two girls (7 and 5), and happily married. I currently work full time as a pathology transcriptionist and I will be starting my BA in Interactive media design...in short, I'm on my butt for a majority of my day.

I am 36 years old. I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old. I had gotten close to my goal weight of 130 lbs and then I gained 10 pounds. I also have celiac sprue disease--which means I can't eat wheat, rye, barley and some oats. You would think I would be stick thin. I am looking forward to joining the group.

I'm 58 yrs old and have been an athlete wanna-be my whole life. Have tried many sports, currently hiking and climbing. I'm active enough with hiking and gym workouts, but stuck in a lifelong pattern of over eating, esp at meal time. I need to start leaving the table before my stomach hurts.

well i'm 21 from ny. I'm a [lifelong] vegetarian. I have hashimoto's thyroiditis which means my metabolism is super slow. I take synthroid and cytomel for that. I also suffer from depression, adhd and a metabolic disorder that I was born with. Yay. I recently was on the path to anorexia, consuming 900 calories or less a day, and during the last few weeks I've been off of that..but i feel like its important I start that up again, cause I lsot weight while doing that. I went from265-270 to 247 in about a month and a 1/2 or so. I despise transfat and high fructose corn syrup, that is a major reason I lost weight because I just stopped myself from consuming it. But over the past week or so i've been drinking a can or 2 of soda a day, probably cause I can't get my hands on iced tea mix [whcih has sugar, not HFCS], but that stops today. I don't want that crap polluting my body. I feel week and sluggish because of it. and i truly do hate it. I prefered keeping myself pure, and so pure I shall. hopefulyl i haven't hurt myself too much in the last 2 weeks or so.

40, married, mother of five, self-employed. I am sick and tired of being fat but can't seem to make myself do anything about it! I have set a goal of running in my first 5k next month. I am hoping to give and receive support in hitting some goals.

I'm in my 30s and self-employed. My husband and I work together. Before we were married, we both had very different lifestyles, but we were both healthy. We have both had trouble keeping the weight off since we got married.

I am a working mom of a 4 year old. I have gained 50 pounds since myy sons birth and have been trting to get rid of it for last 4 years. I did loose around 20 pounds 2 years back but gained them back in a year. I work as a Project manager at a software firm and get no time to exercise. I am a vegetarian and have been dieting for past 15 years ;-(

Been training on/off for many years. More off than on and just want some positive pressure to stick to my workouts.

Im 23 returning to school to get my BA. I would like to get down to my goal weight by may 1st . I enjoy hiking, reading, volley ball, I'm pretty active for the most part , Latley I've been lazy. I have trouble staying motivated and I get bored with my work outs.

I'm 32, married, and have a 4.5 month old son. i've been doing weight watchers for the past month, and really need to get rid of my last 20 lbs of baby weight.

I am a stay at home mom to 3 girls (twins age 7 and a 15 month old). I didn't gain much weight with my pregnancy, but I haven't denied myself anything since having the baby. The weight is creeping up on me and I can't stand the way I look and feel. I have no will power when it comes to food, especially sweets.

I'm 31, single mom to 2 fabulous kiddos (ages 11 and 4). I'm currently in the IT industry, so I spend a lot of my time confined to a desk sitting in front of my computer. I've always had a bit of a weight issue and want to overcome that, and need support!

Loosing weight, loosing weight, loosing weight - there's no place like trying to loose weight. All my life it's been a struggle, and now even more working, marriage, and kids. I love my life, just not the extra pounds.

I live in Iowa. I'm 20 years old (turning 21 very soon) i weigh about 165lbs now.. i'm about 5'3. I have very low self esteem at times and it frustrates my boyfriend a lot

I am 53 years old and have a 30 year old daughter and a 12 year old granddaughter. I have been emotionally and physically un-well for almost 30 years. I am in very poor health due to being only 5"3' tall and 240 pounds. I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, GERD, sleep apnea, low back pain, knee and foot pain, and suffer from severe depression. I take a lot of medication. I feel defeated.

I am 42, a long distance hiker (30 km on average) and generally physically active , but in the past three years I gained 20 lbs due to unmanaged stress at work. I changed the job and my life is now more balanced but I find it difficult to lose all the extra weight. I am 42, single, in professional job I enjoy.

I'm 42, married 13 years, two sons ages 12 and 7, extremely busy schedule with 2 jobs and kid stuff, and I'm addicted to comfort eating. I eat whenever I get stressed or down or worried, and that's a lot. I'm 5'7 and 198 lbs. Have yo-yoed for years and gained about 20 lbs just this last year. Can't stand the thought of it reaching 200, so I'm going to try to take it back down.

Just turned 40, was a size 2-6 until about 30 when I was a size 8, now a 16! I have just put on more and more weight yearly. Teacher, foster mom, married 3 years, LOVE food, TV, and relaxing. I eat irregularly, out of boredom, and for comfort. My husband is very sweet and treats me like a princess. He does all the cooking, but has no idea about portion sizes or varying food groups, so as much as I want to blame it all on him, I know this is only one part of my weight issue. I have become very inactive between trying to keep house clean, laundry done and still have time for a 6 and 8 year old, drive 15 hours a week in the car, very few trips to the drive thru at McD's, but don't feel motivated to make breakfast or eat it when I do, and hardly ever prepare a lunch for work, so I fast most of the day or eat unhealthy snacks and at dinner I fill up! Love sun, beach, dancing ( used to go at least 2 times a week), kayaking, reading, and travel

I am a stay-at-home mother of two in elementary school, but just got added responsibilty of my mother-in-law moving in with us. Taking care of the house and other people has unfortunately gotten higher on the list of priorities than my own health.

33 y.o. professional, married-no kids. Gained 35 pounds after getting married. Would like to get back into good eating and exercise habits.

Busy mother of three that works full time. Life is always busy, busy, busy. My husband is a serious exerciser (4 time Ironman) but is also a solo exerciser. Because of the age of our children and the fact that my fitness level has always been way behind his, we've never worked out together. Sticking to a program is the hardest part for me. I've done Weight Watchers on and off for about 6 years.

Too Fat Just way too fat

39 yo. I've always been in shape, but I got married and moved to a new city and didn't have my old running group and workout partner to keep me consistent. Sweets are my downfall. I feel pudgy.

I am an OU graduate student. I am single with no children.

28 years old, living in sunny Southern California! Work in radio - not as a DJ, but in administration, which means a lot of sitting on my behind at my desk! I love to eat Mexican food, although I'm a bit picky.

I am a first-year college student. I ran XC and track all through high school, and I still LOVE to run, though I row for my university's team now. Grew up in rural Montana, with more healthy food around than I have now, since vegetables are expensive and I am a broke, vegetarian college student. NO MORE EXCUSES. I will do this!

33 - 2 kids, 2 and 4 yrs old. Hoping to feel more healthy, have more energy, weigh less

Former Weight Watchers meeting leader, post-menopausal. I've lost weight twice before, not into fat-free, artificial sweetners, etc. I'm interested in enjoying real food with real people. Love Will Clower's approach to food and eating.

I'm married have 2 son's (18 single in college and 24 married with 1 child) I am 43, 5' tall and weigh 182. I am very involved in my church.

happy person, depressed about huge weight gain in the last 12 months! emotional-out of control eating is ruining me.

I am a 25 yr old, mother of two boys. My passion is nursing. Recently graduated from college. Due to be married in Aug 04, 2007.

I am 48, widowed 14 years ago, I have one daughter 14 1/2 years old. I am an elementary special ed teacher.

I am a 42 yr old grandmother of 3 boys and am not active at all. I drive a special ed bus all day.

I have been married 25 years this February (13th). I have two kids, 21 and 16. I work as an Autistic Paraprofessional at a nearby elementary school. I LOVE working with kids and work at mainstreaming autistic students into a mainstream classroom. I have always had a problem with weight. Even as a little girl I wanted to be thinner than I was, I felt so fat. I am now 5'2 and 175 pounds. My left knee is buckling under all of this weight and giving me lots of problems. I will be making a sincere committment starting Jan 1, 2007 to get this weight off for good. I can and will do it this time through eating less and exercising more.

I am 32, and tired of feeling like crap. I was at the doc last August when he had to move the "big weight" another time. That puts me over 200 lbs! I flat refused. I jumped off the scale and never looked back! I've lost 33 lbs. since then - almost halfway to my goal. I am an elementary school teacher and was a former athlete. I also coach football, basketball, track, and baseball.

I am 39, a single mother of two, a 16 year old son and a 14 year old daughter. I am finally finishing my degree in accounting, I will be done in April and then I plan on sitting for the CPA. I am a vegitarian. I have two dogs and a cat that are probably more spoiled than my kids.

I'm mostly a SAHM homeschooling my 8 (really 7 but almost 8)year old daughter. I'm also a sign language interpreter and work outside the home a day or so per week. I love my family. I love to homeschool and think of creative lessons and units. I love being an interpreter and using and honing my skills. I love to read. I am a devoted Catholic and love the fullness of the Church. Um . . . Oh, I'm 38. I had been very fit and healthy all my life util my daughter was about 2 years old. I was a runner (I even ran lightly during labor) and was able to get back to running immediately after my daughter was born and the baby wieght came right off. However, when she reached about 1.5 to 2 yrs, she despised sitting in her stroller. DESPISED IT! That was the end of running for me. I have NEVER been the kind to get up in the wee dark hours of the morning to run and the next thing I knew . . . it was 5 years later and I don't like my figure.

I am 25, over wieght, unhappy with my body and how tired I am all of the time. I have a high stress job and work a lot of hours. I rarley eat more than once a day. My new years/birthday resolution is to change some of those things.

Busy mom of two teens and a caregiver for their dad who has Stage IV kidney cancer, metastasized to lungs, liver and lymph nodes. I also have a "disability" which has limited my activities. Now on a better medication and supplement regimen that helps, I am anxious to get into a regular exercise routine for strength and conditioning... Using a modified Atkins program, I am now working towards losing about 30 lbs too.

I am 5'8 and 167 pounds. I am looking forward to losing weight and am motivated to do so. I am a vegetarian.

I am 24yr....still studying and working full time....still trying to be thin since high school!!! I like being lazy ( i know, how can i say that, but atleast im honest).

I'm 20 years old. I have a beautifull girlfriend. I decided to lose weight for myself and for my loving girlfriend. I'm a strong person. mentally and physically. Im have good sense of humour. I'm so charming !. Life threw some hurdles and I gained some weight. but i know I can lose it if i work hard and focus on the big picture rather then small.

I am 21, 5'3" 160 lbs.. Just got married in August, and I'd like to lose 10-15 lbs before my first anniversary.

43 yr old 5'10" busy high-tech Indian-American professional dad (with 2 kids) in silicon valley. Where as lack of time is always an issue, I think sustaining any exercise or diet effort is the real problem.

I currently live in the State of Washington with my husband and three children. My oldest is 21 and is leaving to finish up her bachelors degree. My middle child will be a senior in high school and my youngest is entering the second grade via homeschool.

Never have been successful at losing any significant weight. My diet is ok-could be better-but the bigger problem is sticking with an exercise program. I work full-time and have a hard time exercising after work but also have a hard time getting up earlier to exercise. That will be my biggest challenge.

Office Mgr at a Car Dealership. Work long hours and have diffuculty finding time to plan proper meals and exercise. i have good intentions but just can;t get it done.

I'm 42 with two boys. One 16 the other 11. I have been steadily gaining weight since the birth of my first child despite successfully losing weight several times. I run my own business and intend to appoint a manager early next year with the intention to spend more time with the family.

I am 37, work in sales, married no kids. I was a jock in high school and college, but have let work and life get in the way of eating well and taking care of myself.

I just moved to Toronto after living in BC for my "formative" years. I am almost 30 and going back to school to hopefully train for a rewarding career. Wanting you use this as a clean slate and start up some great life long healthy habits. I am a stress & boredom eater.

I am 19 years old and will be 20 in March. I am currently a Sophomore and an art major, but I don't know what direction i want to go in, or what i want to do with my life, career wise. I love film and have been making short movies in my spare time. I love theatre and Broadway shows. Crazy about it really. I love nature and organic foods. I sing and i would love to act, but i am really self concious. It is hard to eat healthy in college. I have no idea or control what they put in the food here so it is hard to know what i am putting in me sometimes. I try to stick to foods i know they can't kill. Campus is very hilly since I am in the mountians. There is lots of walking.

Chinese, Male, 35, 177cm, 89 Kg

HI! I am a teacher and a single mom of 3, and am now an empty nester! I have spent most of my adult life running around taking care of the kids, working full-time and running a household. I have not done a good job of taking care of myself, though. I have a lot of weight to lose, but am committed to succeeding this time.

I'm days away from the big 5-0, and will re-marry this fall! I am enjoying this time in my life tremendously. I lost about 35 pounds about 4 years ago but it is starting to creep back!

I am a 50 year old fairly happily married father of two college aged kids. The oldest is going to med school next year and while the youngest is struggling through school. In his case the apple didn't fall too far from the tree.

38 year old mother of two sons, 10 and 1! I work for an infusion company from my home office in the mountains of New Mexico.

22 year old female Aussie, Personal Assistant from Australia. Emotional eater - unhappy with body - wanting to increase self-esteem!

I'm a 25 year old female. I finished my graduate work at Penn State last May. I currently work in Yellowstone National Park and love it! I love the skiing in the winter and the backpacking, hiking, and campfires in the summer. It seems like with all of this activity I shouldn't have a problem with the hearty eating that accompanies it. There lies the problem. I love food--eating it, cooking it, reading about it. I need to strike a balance between my food consumption and my actual exercise accomplished.

I work in home have 3 kids , Im latina from Peru, married with a farmer , investor and pilot, who love travel and fly, my life its interesting I do accounting , sewing, gardening, meditate, , farming and this change from city to rural can be stressfull and rewarding at the same time. Will love to achieve my goals of a healthy and long life.

I am a working mother of a BEAUTIFUL almost 3 year old, Abigail. I used to work out and be very active before having my daughter. I used to love my body, and now I am in the dumps. My body reacts very well to diet and exercise, so it's just about getting motivated and doing something.

i'm a 45 year old red head with the temperment to match. i have always been heavy, at least i always thought so. i have looked back to pictures of myself from the past and i wasn't fat. but i have always had that body image. now at 267 lbs i AM FAT, hence i am here. i am not married and do not currently have a man in my life, unless you count calvin but he truly is a dog. a basenji to be exact and then there is woodrow, my favourite bit of fluff. she is a brown and white cat that is long on hair and long on attitude. i am crafty and creative by nature. you want one, more than likely i can make you one. i work in paper, glass, clay, fabric, you name it. i attempt to be a christian but i'm afraid i fall short sometimes. i can be easily depressed, which is why i am here. i don't want to just sit inside my living room doing crossword puzzles on my day off.

I have been married for 11/2 years. I have a baby baby girl who is turning I year old, so not really a baby anymore.

Married, happy, 42 years old. Three kids, aged 17, 15, 10. I am also a 1st grade teacher, thankfully I work only 3 days a week so I stay sane.

I am a 31 year old happily married and mother of 4. I am a stay at home mom, with a family that LOVES to eat. Losing weight is so important to me, for my health and my happiness.

I am a 32 year old woman from Dallas, Texas. I am doing Weight Watchers and am looking for encouragement and support to keep going.

UPDATE: I have now maintained my weight loss for 15 months. But have found myself slipping back into bad habits. I know I can do this. UPDATE: I am now 35 and proud to say that I reached my goal of 142. Currently, I maintain my weight at 140-144. But I have discovered that losing the weight is half the battle, the other half is keeping it off. ORIGINAL GOAL: I am a 34 year old American ex-pat currently living in Costa Rica. Since January I have managed to go from 165 to 154 through regular exercise and portion control. At 5'4" I feel that returning to 142 lbs would be great. However, for the time being my goal is to reach 150 lbs and be able to meet my biking goal before the end of May.

I am a 28 year old single mother of 3 (ages 9,6,&3) who also works a full time job. Five years ago I went on a diet and successfully lost 80 lbs. before I got pregnant with my 3rd child. I have gained back 30 lbs. and have not been able to stick to a diet since. Everyone I work with eat like there won't be food on earth the next day and it's very hard not to fall into those habits. I REALLY want to find motivation again and get back on track and find my way back to my "skinnier" clothes.

41 yr old wife, mom of two, owner of home daycare business and pretty much all around nice person with the need to lose weight for myself and for some knee surgery possibly later this summer.

23, moved back to NYC from California after college. Went from Sunshine and outside activity to a lifestyle of work, food, lazy...

Single mom of 4 now 2 are out on own. Really have many things keeping me away from taking care of myself. I am back to only getting enjoyment from eating. I need to find other ways to relieve my stress and feelings of overwhelming. I am tired of having to do everything alone. I am finding is so hard lately.

I am 24 years old and I have all ways struggled with my weight since I was a young child. I work a normal 9-5 job and at night I go to school.

I'm a 36 year mother of 4 (Ages: 19, 17, 14, & 12). About 3 years ago I realized that my health was getting bad and I really didn't like what I saw in the mirror. I took it upon myself to loose weight everyway I could think of.... tried diet pills, joined Weight Watchers.... (didn't work for me!) I joined Quick Weight Loss Centers... (helped a little). Anyway, I haven't quite gained my old weight again, but would like to stop it now before I reach it again.

I struggle w/osteo, fibromyalgia, depression, and on and on................

I'm 54, enjoy time with my family, including four grandchildren, and one son and daughter. I also enjoy traveling, reading, playing chess, and swimming. I am an educational psychologist focused on special education consulting and rehabilitation counseling for college students with diisabilities. My website is http://www.whiteappleinstitute.org I really love my work!

I am 43 & would like to lose 10 pounds before my 44th birthday in June. My biggest problem is lack of consistency: I am the world's best beginner, but find it hard to stick at anything. Diets are just a mystery to me, at the first sign of hunger I run to the bread bin!! I always feel fantastic after exercise, but find it hard to get motivated.

I'm a 31 year old stay at home mom of two kids and have gained weight from a bad thyroid and lack of physical activity and want to lose weight and having a hard time of it.

I'm a 35 year old full-time mom. I like to read, write, make music, dance, paint, garden, cook and spend time in nature. I've worked in social work, tech support and education. I gained quite a bit of weight the first year and a half I was home with my daughter (she's 5 now) -- I was using food for comfort, and I'd stopped going to the gym because of a lack of time and energy. About 3 years ago I got myself back on track, started going to the gym and eating better and lost 40 pounds and made great fitness gains. Then last year I got lazy and busy (with our new house and my daughter's changing needs), fell off the exercise and healthy-eating wagon, and gained back 25 pounds and lost way too many of my fitness gains. I'm studying to be a registered dietitian, and I'm embarrassed by the state of my health and body. I've lost patience with my own excuses, and I'm dragging myself back on track starting today.

I am a 38 year old female. I have an 11 year old son. I was one of those people who never had to watch what I ate or exercise until I hit 35. I then gained 30 pounds in about 6 months and have been struggling to lose it ever since. I have a hard time staying motivated...espicially when my boyfriend brings home chips, dip, ice cream and other really bad foods.

I am 28, mother of 2 (10, 2) and have gained 25 lbs in the last 11 months. I have never really had a weight problem before now. I had a hysterectomy J... more > Posted by: val200040, 4/27/2007 11:59:01 PM

I'm a mother of 3 teenagers who works at home and spends long hours at the computer with too much access to food. I'm in the habit of snacking all day

I'm 45 years old and currently live in Lafayette, LA. I moved here 10 months ago to help my twin brother out with a very difficult family situation. I've been divorced for years and am the proud mother of two grown children, my daughter is 22 and a college sophomore and my son is 21 and trying to decide what he wants to do with his life. I currently work as a sales secretary for a major wine and spirits distributor. I enjoy all types of music, going to movies and spending time with my family

I'm an almost 42yo wife and mother of 2 who homeschools and runs a small business. I've been inactive most of my life, am fairly uncoordinated, and never did well in P.E. I'm 5'5'', small boned and even though I weigh only135lbs, I have lots of fat in my mid-section and tops of thighs. I never weighed more than 110lbs. in high school and college due to my build, but ate constantly whatever I wanted. 10 years ago, weight started creeping up and I began to look really out of shape. It's only gotten worse from there.

I'm a 27-year-old female grad student. I started losing weight on my own and I've had some success, but I'm worried that my motivation is starting to slip and I want to stay on the right track.

I'm 16 and have been struggling with my weight since I was little. I've tried South Beach, Curves, Atkins.. none of them work.. I just look ahead and think.. I don't want to be remembered as the fat girl.. and people think I can't hear them.. but I can.. and it just makes me angry. I'm also sick of seeing ll those skinny girls who can fit into Garage and Roxy and I want those clothes so bad!! My family is so concerned with my weight, that my dad offered me $5000 towards a car if I lose 50 pounds by the time I graduate.

26 year old, 5'4", about 135 lbs (I think, I don't have a scale). Work in the environmental field, so in front of a computer and out in the field doing surveys. I think my cardio is not bad, but I defiently need more strenght training.

I am 21 years old, 5-11 6-00 and 230.

im married w/2kids 4 & 11 completely stressed

I am a 44 yr old male, and am single now, which may be the primary motivation for wanting to loose weight. I was very active in my younger years and remember the feeling of weightlessness vaguely. Would like to recapture the moment (lol). I am learning how to live one meal at a time...

I'm 39 years old and over the course of the past 5 years I have gained 30 lbs. I have been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and once on medication I was hoping things would improve, but no such luck. I'm now trying to dedicate myself to eating better and trying to loose this weight. I'm very unhappy with myself right now.

I am 5' 8" tall and have always been considered "thin" by others. I have always been very self conscious about my body but never felt fat until recently. Now, I cannot get comfortable in anything I wear and it is so frustrating. I have always used food for comfort but it is out of control now! It doesn't really help anymore and I feel like I am gaining weight faster than someone blowing up a helium balloon.

I am a 31yr old mother of a 3yr old son and a fiance to a wonderfuly guy. I work at Children's Memorial Hospital as an administrative assistant and working on my associates in healthcare administration and hope to go on to nursing school after that. I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends.

Married mother of two boys. Homemaker and Realtor.

I am a 37 yo mother of 2, boy, 6 and girl, 2. Also, married and in the first year of a Master's PA Program, also working pt. Joined LA Weight Loss after ballooning to 237 and horrified, so started, lost a mere 12 pounds before I became disillusioned and have since gained back 4 lbs and continue to "fool" myself into thinking that I am still watching portions. Still going to weigh in, just because...have begun to focus on exercising again, FitLite mainly because I do not have much time and it feels like a great workout in a short amount of time. Anyway I need something to be different, I do not like how I feel at this weight, my joints hurt and it brings my confidence down.

I am a 22 yr old divorced mother of one. I start graduate school in August and don't think i'll have much time for anything! I have struggled with my weight since the birth of my son, and also dealing with getting out of an abusive relationship. I sabatoge myself every time i diet.

I'm a 40 year old librarian, who had weight loss surgery in 2002, and lost over 200 lbs! (Yeah me!) However, it's been 5 years since my surgery and the pounds are starting to creep back. I'm married and the mother to three furry children, 2 cats and 1 dog.

I lost 50 pounds pre Katrina then maintained untill recently I have started to regain weight. My orginial log term goal was to just get healthier because of blood sugar issues. An added benfit was losing weight so I set a long term goal of losing 100#. I want to finally achive that goal.

I am a 22 year old MBA grad student. I hope to move to New York city by fall 2007.

48 years old, 5'8" and needing to lose 50 pounds. I've already lost 65!! :) I am active in life and fitness, and am currently on Weight Watchers.

I'm 41 years old. I live in a rural area in upstate NY with my husband, two dogs, and two rabbits. I work as an interpreter for the deaf at a local university. I love to eat (cheese and carbs are favorites) and relax with wine at the end of the day. It seems that my body doesn't metabolize the way it used to when I was 20 something. Our dogs keep us running but apparantly not enough. I think I'm exercising enough but I must be fooling myself. Oh, and I'm learning to play the fiddle.

40 year old mother of 2 living in California. Currently stay-at-home.

I am 51 yrs. old and am 4'11" and weight 120 lbs. I lost 43lbs a year ago, but have put 10lbs back on. I want to lose the 10lbs. I put on, but am only going to concentrate on 5lbs right now. If I can do that, I will work on the next 5lbs. I changed my eating habits, but starting going back to my old habits. I need encourgagement and motivation.

I am 47-years-old. I have two podcasts--I never thought that I would ever get people to listen to me but it's really fun and I am getting more listeners all the time, who'd a thunk? I also have mad Photoshop skills and work in a photo lab. I have two beautiful and brilliant daughters--one in college and one in middle school and a sweetheart of a husband who is the perfect man for me. I also perform in a local Rocky Horror cast as Dr. Frank-n-furter, Riff Raff or Magenta (our cast obviously isn't screen-accurate).

I am a 25 year old female who has been "watching what I eat" for about 5 years now and am never consistent enough with it to actually lose weight. Right now I am down about 10 lbs from my weight this winter and may need some peer inspiration to keep me motivated.

I am married with 2 children, I have a full time job and barely have time for myself or working out.

I am 25 years old I have been married for 8 years. I have a daughter age 6, and a son age 2. Iwork as a waterplant opertor, therefore i sat alot. I want to lose weight to feel better and play more with my kids without being tired.

I'm a 31 year old single mother to a 7 year old beautiful little girl. I have been wanting to lose weight for more than a few years now, however, I never stick to it for more than a couple of weeks at a time. I began my "diet" on 04/21 weighing in at 220.5, and as of today I am down to 209 lbs. 11.5 pound loss!! Huge victory for me. I am taking baby steps. My short term goal is to lose a total of 25 pounds by my daughters 8th birthday..July 8. I ultimately want to get down to 150 lbs.

Lost my way in life about 2 years ago and have steadily gained weight although I have always been overweight. I walk my dog everyday, however, sometimes for just a few minutes. He runs at the dog park while I stand and watch hiim get all the exercise.

The largest I have been is 170 LBS. I then went on weight watchers and started loosing weight. I did however go through a rough period and at one point my weight was down to 105. I am now 147 and I am so not happy that this weight has creaped back on me. It's time I do something about it and thought I would give this a try.

I'm 45. Mother of 2 teen-age daughters. Left the working world 5 years ago. Have owned a women's fitness studio.

love dogs, walking, family, reading, flower gardening, friends!! I need to lose 40 lbs to be healthy. I have been a yo-yo dieter for most of my life!!

Just starting peertrainer. I am 47 years old and have 1 teenage son.

I'm a 27 year old married working woman. I used to weigh 110 lbs and now I think I weigh at least 140. I haven't checked the scales because I'm too scared to find out. I would love to get back to my old weight, and give that I'm only 5ft I feel so dumpy. I think a lot of what has contributed to my weigh loss has been depression and just emotional eating. I would like to be able to control my portions better and just be on a regular exercise regime. I moved from Australia to the U.S. four years ago and will be moving back again at the end of August. I really would love to come home looking better than what I do now.

I am 38 years old and a married mom of two daugters (8 & 10). I stay at home and run my own Avon business. I keep very busy, but still find time to snack. I have been off and on so many different diets. I really need to stop yoyoing and get myself on a healthy eating and exercise plan. The first class of baby boomers turned 60 last year. That was my class. I am a Mom of four, grandma to three, wife of a gem of a guy who thinks that I was built for comfort not for speed. Isn't that neat? But I am more comfortable with less weight. Actually, if I was 6'7" tall I would be just perfect. At 5'3" I'm a smidge "fluffy". I am a dog lover, a Packer Fan, a music teacher and an artist.

I am 53 -- and generally active although this year I have been something of a couch potato, and crashed and burned from job stress, poor diet, insomnia

I'm a 46 year old stay at home mom, I love to cook, and I would like some delicious low cal recipes.

I am a 32 year old married mother of three that just needs to get a whole lot healthier for my family.

I am a 26 y/o F who had a mid-midlife crisis when 2007 hit! I realized that in 4 years that I was going to be 30! I want to start NOW to change my life so that when I AM 30 - I am active, healthy, SKINNY, but also really put together ~ and my idea of put together INCLUDED being active and eating healthy. So this is me - taking charge and changing my life FOREVER. My username is a shortform of NEVER LOOK BACK! I have a degree in Linguistics and am a mom to a beautiful girl and wife to an amazing husband!

I'm 24 and have never been able to run due to ankle injuries but I think the couch to 5K program will build up the indurance so I can run without injury.

I am a beautiful fat guy, and will be a super beautiful thin guy. What got me motivated was the unreasonable amount of bloating and lethargy that I have endured since my teens. I feel fantastic! My blood sugar is in control. I am not bloated. I am not lethargic. I look even better :) I am no longer gas-icious. I walk 2 miles a day. And... I am losing inches like they are going out of style.

I am 29. I have always struggled with my weight. I was chubby as a kid and lost weight in HS when I started playing soccer seriously and exercising. I have fluctuated slightly with my weight since college, but have recently maintained a pretty healthy weight (5'4", 130lbs) I am very active in soccer, hiking, triathlon sports, and Bikram Yoga. I also like weightlifiting. When I am committed, I follow through, other times I am very lazy and let the stresses of life get in the way of my health. I have tendencies toward emotional or stress eating and make bad choices during times of stress.

Single mom. We're both going through hormonal changes!

I am Saipriya, female and 30 years old. I am an Indian and single. I work in IT and that accounts for my sedentary lift style :)

I'm age 39, single, I like to work out and have done triathlons, but I like to eat too much! I love reading and movies, and I would love to do all kinds of active sports like climbing, skiing, SCUBA diving, and more triathlons, but I'm too fat right now!

In 1979 I lost 90 lbs. Then I got married, had children, got a divorce and really didnt pay attention to myself. In Feb of 2007 I just decided I couldn't stand being fat anymore. When I stepped on the scale I was shocked-I knew I was heavy, but I was heavier than I had ever been. I needed to lose as many lbs as I weighed at my goal in 1979 (125). I am only 5'2". From February to May I have lost about 30 lbs and am feeling better each day.

I am 47 years old, married & have two great children age 29 and 25. I work full time as a Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker in Oak Brook, Il. I've been over weight for 30 years. In addition to dealing with my weight, I repeatedly attempt to quit smoking - therefore- I struggle with two addictions...smoking & eating.

im a 30yr haistylist married with a stepson i have a dog named chance

I am a single professional that commutes from Nashua to Boston 4X/wk. This commute is a definite barrier to weight loss and involving myself in the community. I have 3-4 outfits that fit and many more that will fit when...

I am a 50 year old female, a clinical microbiologist, 2 grown kids, and trying to figure out what to do now that the "mom" job is done.

I'm 43yo, married to a wonderful man for 12 years. SAHM to 2 little Yorkies Mugsy & Madison.. I love photography, cooking, skiing, and knitting.

I'm a 44 year old woman. I've got two great children. My son will be 21 May 22nd and he serves our country in the Army. My daughter will be 23 October 7th and she's in the nursing field, working on becoming a doctor. I've always been very athletically active, that is until I injured my knee for the third time. Since September, my new ACL and I have gotten to know each other, but I think it must have come from a lazy person, because it's been tough getting back on track. The extra 40 pounds doesn't help either! I race model boats and finished 1st in my class. I'm getting married again, within the next year and a half and yes, I'd really like to look fantastic for me, for him, for life. I've found my Mr. Right and I everything else seems to be clicking right along except for this extra weight, which thinks it's staying for good, but I've got other ideas about it. As you can see, I've got a sense of humor, but really, this weight has not been too funny in my opinion.

I am a 28yo stay-at-mom of 2.5yo twin girls. I have always had a weight problem. I come from an Italian famly who loves to eat. My Mother suffers from MS and I think a lot of my issues with food comes from me trying to deal with her illiness. I have been dieting since I was in grade school, that could be a huge part of my problem with food. I am looking for some support.

Too fat. Too old. Work too much for my taste. Too tired to get anywhere. Too tired of being this way.

I am 43 and in the past 6 months I have gained 15 pounds. I have always been petite and thin. I refuse to buy new clothes so I have to get serious and lose the weight. I work out of my home and have no energy! I have an awsome mountain bike that is collecting dust. I could use some motivation.

I'm the 45 year old mother of 3 boys; 13, 10 and 7. I work part time and am actively involved at my kids' school and in their activities. The last few years I've been in a vicious cycle of losing weight, then gaining it back plus a few extra pounds.

I am 41, I am in the Air Force, I am battling with my hormones and trying to keep up w/ 20-somethings in PT! I used to be a body builder/power lifter and got to like eating whatever I wanted. Well, 10 lbs in the last year has changed my attitude about my metabolism. I need motivation. Stress makes me eat since I am a non-drinker and social cigar smoker.

I have a partner, however she is not altogether helpful when it comes to eating healthfully or exercising regularly. I have had type I diabetes for over 27 years, with several of the complications that often go along with diabetes, and sometimes I just don't feel like exercising.

I am 49 years old, mom of two teenagers. I work P/T and volunteer at the high school that my children attend. Hate to exercise, although I have been blessed with great health and a natural athleticism. Used to play a lot of tennis but time does not permit. Might consider returning to tennis once I shed the extra weight.

I'm In my early 40's. I am five feet tall and weigh a little over 150 lbs.

working as a Braodcast producer, im 27. i had a very active life style including dance yoga , playin g squash, was involved in aerobics and other activites, but now since last two years due to the hectic schedule and improper timings im unable to keep a healthy life style. i think the best now i can do is to join a workout gym, but again timing is a problem for me.. my biggest concern is my bulging tummy, due to working most of the time in front of computers and machines. need to tuck my tummy and maintaina very healthy life style.. im 5'6 and weigh around 63 kilos.

I'm 23, married for almost 2 years. I had a desk job for 1 1/2 years, where we were discouraged from leaving our desk unless it was our break or lunchtime. So that definately helped with the weight gain. Also, I've been eating like a guy, bigger portion sizes, having late night pizza and drinking.

I am 18 and getting ready to enter college in September. Growing up I had alot of responsibilties, therefore, I was under a lot of stress. When I am stressed and/or down I turn to food.

I enjoy a lot of sedentary activities as well as excercise. Howver, I'm a busy college student and don't know if I'll have time to add stuff to this website everyday. I've been on a 1000 to 1200 calorie diet for the past week, which is supposed to allow you to lose a pound a day. However, it isn't working yet as I am still 135. Any suggestions?

I am a married, 46 year old mother of three (11, 9, and 3 yrs. old). I homeschool the two oldest and am not working outside the home. I was working in an administrative support staff position at a University for 10 years prior to staying home to be with our children.

I am a self employed attorney. I am in court daily, since I do criminal defense, and I drive a lot - over 40,000 miles a year. My car always seems to be drawn to drive throughs, (and it doesn't help that I never have time to have lunch). Stress seems to be increasing, since I am taking on more and more work, and yet with court delays, I am out of the office from 8:30 a.m. to 5pm, and then work late to catch up. I'm also in the middle of a divorce and I feel the stress of that quite a bit.

I recently turned 40 and have been struggling with my weight up and down since I had my son 11 years ago. I have heart disease and diabetes in my family and know I have to exercise more.

I'm 41 yrs old, mother of one and stepmother of 6! I have put on extra weight this past year and now need to lose about 30-35 pounds. I have an autoimmune disease and have to take steriods everyday, which makes it harder to lose.

I am a 32 year old mother of a 13 year old son and 10 year old twin daughters. I live in a small town of Arkansas. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love to eat, and that is one of the reasons why I have joined is because I have let emotional stress get the best of me and I turned to food for comfort. Now I am ready to kick the food to the curb, because I am ready to beat this anyway I can.

I am 38 years old. Married with 2 children. Work Monday thru Friday.

I am married with two boys. I stay at home

I happily finalized my divorce last year after 17 years of marriage. I have 3 amazing kids who live with me half the time: a 10-year-old boy, an 8-year-old girl, and a 5-year-old boy. I also have a 5-year-old golden retriever. I work full-time as a lawyer and struggle to fit exercise and healthy eating into my crazy schedule. I am dating someone wonderful but neither of us cares much for cooking, so we eat a lot of quick and easy, high fat foods when we're together.

I am 43 and have gone from 118 to 180 in 20 years. It seemed like all my weight did was keep going up with my age. I was never overweigt. My junior year in high school I weighed 110 pounds at 5'6". I met my husband when I was 25 and that's when I weighed 118 and it's gone up ever since. I've finally decided that I'm tired of feeling embarrassed about the way look. I was always in denial. I was like, oh, I just hide my weight well. After seeing myself in a picture I knew that was not true so now I'm going to do something about it.

I am 46 years old, and married with two children. About 3 years ago, I suffered a serious bout of depression although I didn't know exactly what was happening at the time. The meds I was eventually given made me happy--and the pounds piled on almost overnight! The dilemma at the time was mood versus weight. Now, I'm finally off the medication but can't seem to budge the needle on the scale!
